21st century, many great strides
will be made in bio-chemistry and
pharmaceuticals. This is definitely
a leading edge industry where there
is an ever widening scope for a
broad range of problems to be solved
through the proper use of
medications.
Besides the traditional areas of
treating diseases and organic
disorders, today's
pharmaceuticals are being
administered for behavioral
disorders, depression, phobias
and anxiety. In addition, there
is a new focus on “preventive
medication” through proper
utilization of vitamins, herbs
and nutritional supplements. |

the old life-threatening
diseases, the stresses of modern
day life and environmental
pollution are leading to a need
for new treatments. And nature
is ever producing new strains of
viruses and germs that must be

Keeping in view the local needs,
international requirement and
locally available men and
material facilities, the
existing 4-year B.Pharmacy
course, the 1st degree in
Pharmacy will be of 5 years
duration and nomenclature of the
degree will be Pharm-D.
|
|
|
|
|
|
The academic and examination
system in Pharm-D will be based
on Semester System.
The Curriculum for Pharm-D
prepared by the National
Curriculum Revision Committee of
HEC will be followed in the
European University.
